Friends of Carver-Roehl County Park would like to thank the many children and their families who braved the snow and cold to attend our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 14, at Carver-Roehl County Park. More than 3,500 candy-filled eggs were “hunted” by 136 eager children ages 0 to 12 as falling snow gently blanketed the park. Each child also was given a treat bag filled with age-appropriate items such as stuffed animals, puzzles, coloring sheets and stickers.

Thank God legislators seemingly have come to their senses about the eternal punishment of CCAP (Consolidated Court Automation Programs). CCAP is a Wisconsin wholesale invasion of privacy that impacts primarily lower income folks and has not been substantially adopted by most other states for that reason.

To the editor,
Demonizing people, not respecting people and failure to act like adults is found everywhere. For example, the Wisconsin State Journal reports Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson, before he worked for Fox, made remarks minimizing statutory rape and characterized women as being “primitive.” The Journal article also mentions the sexual misconduct allegations against former Fox newscaster Bill O’Reilly and the late Fox chief Roger Ailes.
