Dedicated people drive great schools

Written by

To the editor,
Congratulations! We thank our teachers, administrators and support staff for making this a successful year for all schools in the Stateline area.

One great thing about Wisconsin’s open records law is that it’s not supposed to matter who wants records or why.

To the editor,

While in California recently, I read an article in the San Francisco Chronicle that discussed former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s graduation speech at a university. He mentioned President George Washington could not tell a lie. Today we have politicians who cannot tell the truth.

To the editor,

How do we stop school shootings?

Are bullies taught to be bullies? Do bullies bully everyone? How do you stop getting bullied? Do you give up your dignity, your constitutional rights, your freedom and the right to breathe the air that you are God-given to breathe, or do you stop the bully with the help from others and the law?

To the editor,

In response to Michael Buchek’s interesting perspective on the dangers of marijuana usage, I take issue. Wisconsin leads the nation in alcohol-related traffic deaths, and there are few public accounts of pot contributing to traffic accidents. He’s either unfamiliar, uninformed or uneducated on the effects of pot for recreational usage today.
