President Trump has reached a new low in misleading us
To the editor, President Donald Trump finally did it! He passed the 10,000 lie/misleading statement threshold and sits at 10,111 as of April 29. That’s a whole lot of Pinocchios that the Washington Post has been able to bestow upon him. When he pumps out an average of 23 per day it must be hard to keep up with all of them.
Maybe he’s got Fleetwood Mac’s “Little Lies” playing in his head and thinks he’s speaking right to them when he opens his mouth. A good song for the Republican convention in 2020, if he makes it that far, would be a rendition of Ronnie Milsap’s “Hate The Lies, Love The Liar” where the whole audience joined in. I bet nothing would make him happier.
Judge Andrew Napolitano said Trump has committed obstruction of justice multiple times, right on Fox News. You might not see him on there again since you’re expected to be a water boy for the current president if ever you show your face on Fox. They should be thanking Napolitano for a little dose of honesty. That won’t happen.
Now that the Mueller report is out, everything has to be investigated. You can’t let potential crimes go unpunished, no matter who committed them. Presidents cannot be exempt. Presidents are supposed to be setting an example for the rest of the country that others would want to emulate. That isn’t Donald Trump. Richard Nixon was better.
