TOWN OF EAST TROY — The Kettle Moraine Land Trust is hosting a Mother’s Day Bird Walk on Sunday, May 12, at the Beulah Bog State Natural Area north of East Troy.
The walk runs from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a short introduction to birding and a list of birds that might be seen. The walk leaders are experienced birder Jim Marrari, Derek Sallmann of the Friends of the Mukwonago River and Greg Rajsky, executive director of the Kettle Moraine Land Trust.

The event is “perfect for beginning birders as well as those who are more experienced and want an early-morning nature walk,” according to a KMLT news release. “Beulah Bog SNA features upland woodlands and prairies with a trail down to an undisturbed bog featuring distinctive vegetation more typically found further north.”

Bring boots (the boardwalk may be slightly underwater) and binoculars and a camera if possible.
