City recognizes employees

Written by  Staff Writer
To the editor,
The city of Janesville provides a wide variety of services to its residents, businesses and visitors. City employees work diligently to provide these services in an effective, efficient and customer-friendly manner.

On an annual basis, the city organization recognizes three employees — Public Safety Employee of the Year, Public Works Employee of the Year and Administrative/Hedberg Public Library Employee of the Year — who have gone above and beyond in the performance of their jobs and in providing noteworthy contributions to their department and the city organization.

The city is pleased to announce the selection and recognition of the 2018 employees of the year.

Public safety: Janesville Fire Department Battalion Chief Ryan Murphy

Public works: Parks Supervisor Ethan Lee

Administrative/Hedberg Public Library: Transit Operations Supervisor Dave Kipp

These employees were selected by a group of their peers from among a number of nominations. We congratulate these three exemplary employees for their outstanding service and contributions to the community. Jobs very well done!

Susan A. Musick, human resources director
