Badger students revisit the 1970s with ‘Mamma Mia!’

LAKE GENEVA — Badger High School Performing Arts presents “Mamma Mia!” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, through Saturday, Nov. 10, in the school’s auditorium.

The ninth-longest running Broadway show is a musical comedy that features many hits by by 1970s super group ABBA.

“Set against a pastoral Greek isle backdrop, the story follows Sophie, played by Kaleigh Krause, as she attempts to discover who her father is before her wedding. Her mother, Donna, played by Heidi Engerman, knows it is one of three possible men who arrive just in time for the wedding,” according to a Badger press release. “The three dads, played by Colin Ring, Zane Gallagher and Kyle May, revisit their history with Donna through ABBA’s most famous songs ...”

The hits include “Mamma Mia,” “Dancing Queen” and “S.O.S.”

The show features 45 Badger students.
