Just this past legislative session, August supported a record investment of more than $630 million in new funding for K-12 schools. He also voted to create $100 million in school safety grants to make schools safer. Many of our local schools have been awarded this money to help with the cost of safety improvements.
Not only is K-12 education stronger, higher education in Wisconsin also has been improved. August was the author of an innovative new merit scholarship for Wisconsin students attending a University of Wisconsin college. This will help our state keep our best and brightest students without requiring any new tax dollars. August also voted to freeze college tuition and implement UW accountability.
Tyler August has an excellent record on education and he deserves your vote this November.
