EAST TROY — East Troy’s Village Square Park is the place to be for bluegrass music next weekend as the East Troy Bluegrass Festival celebrates its 25th year.

The down-home sounds will fill the square from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 8 and Sept. 9. Purchasing a wristband gets you admission for both days and children under 15 are free.
Bring your own lawn chair to enjoy the music, which includes headliners Carson Peters & Iron Mountain at 5 p.m. Saturday and Volume 5 at 5 p.m. Sunday.

Aspiring musicians are invited to enter contests at 11:30 a.m. each day. Fiddlers will be featured on Saturday, while banjo, mandolin and guitar players will compete in Sunday’s contests. Registration closes 15 minutes prior to the contest time.
