More than 3,500 candy-filled eggs were “hunted” by eager children ages 0 to 12 on a beautiful, brisk, sunny day in the park. Each child also was given a treat bag filled with age-appropriate items, such as stuffed animals, puzzles, coloring sheets and stickers. In the spirit of community generosity, families brought nonperishable food items to be donated to the Clinton Food Pantry.
We also would like to take this opportunity to thank the many donors who made this fun-filled event possible. Thank you to: Cougar Lanes, Hahn’s Ace Hardware, Deb DuCharme American Family Insurance, Chamber and Owens, Texas Roadhouse of Janesville, Bradford 4-H and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Special thanks to Kohl’s of Delavan for their help in setting up and cleaning up. In addition, thank you to the Clinton Garden Club and the Clinton Historical Society members for helping stuff eggs and the use of the Cobblestone House as “Easter Egg Headquarters.” Addie Roehl was our awesome Easter Bunny this year, and we are grateful for her time and talents. Finally, thank you to the many anonymous individual donors who gave their time and money to purchase supplies for this year’s event.
The children had a wonderful afternoon!
