Browse and buy from local artists this holiday season

Members of two local arts groups are putting their talents on display this month.

The Geneva Lake Arts Foundation’s Winter Show and Artsy Holiday Market opens Thursday, Nov. 9, at Gallery 223, 223 Broad St., Lake Geneva. The show and market continue through Jan. 8.

Holiday-themed works will include paintings, prints, photographs, jewelry, pottery, glass works and cards, as well as stocking stuffers, homemade holiday decorations and artisan gifts.

Shoppers can meet the artists while celebrating the show’s opening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10. The open house is open to the public at no cost.

According to a foundation news release, guests are invited to “Chat with your favorite artists and get an early jump on holiday shopping and decorating while you enjoy holiday refreshments and wine.”

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.For more information, go online to or call 262-249-7988.


The Whitewater Arts Alliance Members Show and Sale opens Thursday, Nov. 9. The show is at the Whitewater Cultural Arts Center, 402 W. Main St.

The annual show will run through Dec. 16 featuring art and craft pieces by Whitewater Arts Alliance members.

An opening reception is set for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11.

The gallery is open noon to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, although it will be closed Thanksgiving week.
