Deputies received the report of a car crash at 6:10 a.m. Aug. 10, and found a red 1997 Dodge Intrepid with extensive damage up against a tree at the scene, when they arrived with the town of Delavan police and member of the city of Delavan’s fire and rescue units.
Initial investigation reveals Blucher was driving the car southbound on Highway P when he lost control of the vehicle. The car left the road and struck a tree on the east side of Highway P.
The driver, who was the only occupant in the car, was not wearing a seatbelt.
According to the release, speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit and the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The city of Delavan police and Paratech Ambulance Service also responded to the crash.
