WHITEWATER - Like last year, the Whitewater High School boys' track team dominated the Rock Valley Conference track and field meet May 15 in Whitewater. The Whippets finished with 170 points, followed by McFarland and Clinton who tied for a distant second with 79.75 points. Edgerton finished fourth with 73.75, and East Troy was fifth with 70 points. East Troy won the girls' meet for the second consecutive year with 119.5 points. The Whitewater girls were second with 108.5 points. The Whitewater boys were led by senior Tony Floyd and Tony Bilderback who set a conference record in the triple jump with a distance of 46 feet, 4 inches. Floyd recovered from a near-fall in the 110-meter hurdles to place second, then won the 400-meter dash in 50.76 seconds and the 300-meter hurdles in 41.13. He was named the conference's top athlete. For the East Troy girls, Taylor Balcerozski, Meghan Valentine, Kate Isleb and Tia Nowak set a meet record in the 3,200-meter relay.
