This is one of my favorite photos. I heard a call over the scanner of the fire and grabbed my camera and out the door I flew. No knowing what to expect I hung back and observed what was happening. I saw all the fire truck gathered at the front of the barn and the firemen rushing around.

... I think barns or stables should be designed to be fire-proof.There are many things one can do in this regard like banning smoking, installing sprinklers and ground lighting rod system to protect your barn during electrical storms, periodic electrical check etc. Fire-resistant stable gates |

... horse barns are susceptible to fire like any other building, especially when there is so much wood and as an outdoor building, it takes a lot of wear from the element. I thought the pic is poignant, beautiful but I can see where it may represent pain to anyone who has been through such an experience. I have never heard of a fire proof horse barns Thanks so much for posting it. |

... I think this is a horrifying picture!! I find nothing appealing about a photo of frightened animals running from the frightening destruction of a building. I don't like it at all. |
