... Many people still do not know about puppy mills. We must educate the public about this horrific situation. Websites: http://www.nowisconsinpuppymills.com http://www.milwaukeepetstoreprotest.com According to the Humane Society research 97% of all dogs sold on the internet & pet stores are puppy mill dogs. They are so inbred, & born into such filthy conditions with breeding dogs having such poor nutrition, they are sickly & inferior. Pet stores will not let you return them & you will spend thousands on vet bills. Many people have stopped by our protest & told us their horror stories of their puppy purchases. A reputable breeder would NEVER sell a puppy to just anyone without investigating its new home conditions. Anyone who sells puppies to just anyone is a greedy puppy mill only interested in money. Call your representative & tell them to support the Smith/Kreitlow Dog Breeder Licensure Bill AB 250 which would allow inspections of puppy mills & put them out of business if they are declared unfit. ... I definitely agree that puppy mills should not be allowed to do business here or anywhere. It's very sad that so many animals are put to sleep each year when they could have been adopted from the shelters. This applies to both dogs and cats. |
