Photography by Terry Mayer GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney has finished speaking at a campaign rally in Janesville. Romney joined Gov. Scott Walker and U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan to address an enthusiastic crowd of supporters at Monterey Mills. So many people showed up that the event was broadcast to a crowd outside the plant on Delavan Drive. "You're going to be the deciding voice," he said in wrapping up his comments. "Help me win the presidency." JANESVILLE--Tight security greeted supporters, opponents and other onlookers at this morning's campaign appearance by Republican Mitt Romney at Monterey Mills in Janesville. Shortly after 8 a.m., motorcades and buses carrying what appeared to be administrative staff rolled in and offloaded at one of the docks at the plant on the city's southeast side. Those attending the event inside the plant needed to pre-register. Others were gathering outside. A Gazette reporter at the scene encountered a growing group of protesters across Delavan Drive from the plant. They carried signs protesting a variety of issues, including Romney's health care plans, cuts to state education funding and contributions from a Rock County businesswoman to Gov. Scott Walker, who survived a recall election earlier this month.
