This is one of those photos that I dont know if I like it or not. Part of the reason is that I know I could have done it better. Coming through Williams Bay at night I spotted this Christmas tree lit up from the road. The Christmas tree was along the Geneva lake path. So parked the car and walked a little was to the tree.
As I was walking to the tree along the lake I realized I didn't have my tripod with me, which is really strange cause I always carry it, along with alot of other camera stuff I dont need but never know. So I got to the tree and held the camera steady the best I could, but the shutter was longer then I could hold the camera so I upped the iso (film speed) which I didn't want to do. Sure the higher iso is faster but you lose some of the quality. So I sacrificed the quality and figured I would try and fix it in photoshop. So my iso was at 1250 and my shutter was at a tenth of a second. I got the tree ,no problem. and some of the light from Williams bay in the background. I would have liked to have gotten the water a little better as well.
But with all the negatives I still like the photo. Although if I see this Christmas tree along the lake path in Williams Bay I would like to photograph it again , only be more prepared.
