Both exhibits will open with a reception from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 6. At 6 p.m., Bein and the plein air painters will offer a gallery talk.
The reception is free and open to the public. Various works will be for sale with a portion of the proceeds going to support the Beloit Art Center.
Bein’s work has been selected for numerous group and solo exhibitions throughout Wisconsin and the Chicago area. Winner of the People’s Choice Award for her drawing “Manipulation Station” at this year’s Beloit College Wright Museum of Art 61st Annual Beloit & Vicinity Exhibition, Victoria is also included in the competitive Rockford Midwestern Biennial 2018.
“Victoria encourages the viewer to create their own story from her work, and through this process, perhaps uncover their own unconscious mind,” according to a news release. “As the viewer spends time with her drawings, they will discover hidden content and an incredible amount of detail.”
In the newly opened Bell Gallery, The Beloit Art Center Plein Air Painting Group will be exhibiting work from their painting sessions held April through June.
The art center, 520 E. Grand Ave., is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Admission is free and open to the public.
