Tap into fun at Maple Sugar Fest

BELOIT — Welty Environmental Center is gearing up for its 12th annual Maple Sugar Fest to be held Saturday, Feb. 24. The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon at the Big Hill Center, 1201 Big Hill Court.

A pancake breakfast is the main attraction, complete with real maple syrup, sausage links, fruit and hot and cold beverages.

Family activities include a Laura Ingalls Wilder storytime and guided hikes to see tapped maple trees and a maple sap boiling demonstration.

The Seven Springs All Nations Drum Circle will present a ceremony at 10 a.m.
