ELKHORN — After about 20 years, veteran actors Steve and Joan Hay of Delavan are returning to play the leading roles of George and Charlotte Hay in the Lakeland Players production of the madcap comedy “Moon Over Buffalo.”

The play debuted in New York City in 1995 and featured the return of Carol Burnett to Broadway. Similarly, the Hays return in the roles they first played for Lakeland Players in 1999.
Steve Hay has been a member of Lakeland Players from its inception 44 years ago and Joan Hay became involved in 1984.
“It is fascinating to return to a role years later to see if you can play it better,” Joan Hay said in a news release.
Mary Hubbard Nugent of East Troy directs the Lakeland Players production of “Moon Over Buffalo,” which features eight actors.
The show will be performed at the historic Sprague Theater, 15 W. Walworth St., Elkhorn. Showtimes are at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Feb. 16, Feb. 17, Feb. 23 and Feb. 24, and at 3 p.m. Sundays, Feb. 18 and Feb. 25.
