ROCKFORD — Each year on the Friday before Christmas Eve, luminary musicians from around the Midwest converge on JustGoods at 201 Seventh St. in Rockford, where they donate their talent for charity. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, and music will be featured from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

This year’s musicians include Chicago’s Mark Dvorak, Lee Murdock, Amelia Stamsta and Victor Sanders and the Stateline area’s Matt Flamm, Emily Hurd, Dan Mcguire, Marques Morel and Trinadora.

Light refreshments will be available. Admission is free, and listeners are encouraged to give to Rockford Promise, this year’s featured charity.

Rockford Promise is a scholarship program that partners with Rock Valley College and Rockford University. Learn more online at www.rockfordpromise.org or call 815-871-5202.

Free off-street parking is available in the lot adjacent to the west building entrance.

Past holiday benefits have been extremely well attended, so listeners are urged to arrive early to ensure admission. Listeners are welcome to bring cookies or other goodies to add to the refreshments.
