Delavan man dead in motorcycle crash

SUGAR CREEK TOWNSHIP -- A Delavan man died Monday when the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a tree in Sugar Creek Township.

Joshua Faber, 32, died when his motorcycle hit a tree about 11:37 a.m. along County Highway H, according to a Walworth County Sheriff's Office news release.

An initial investigation revealed Faber was eastbound on Sugar Creek Road when he failed to stop at the stop sign at Highway H.  

The motorcycle continued across Highway H and into a ditch coming to rest against a tree.

When Walworth County Sheriff's Deputies along with Elkhorn Fire and Rescue units arrived and found Faber next to a tree.  He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Speed is also believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.   

The crash remains under investigation by the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit and the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office.
