This will also be the first chance to purchase tickets for opening day held on Thursday, April 6, at Pohlman Field and take advantage of special pricing to see the Snappers start the new season.
The temperature at 8 a.m. Monday in Beloit will result in the price for opening day tickets. For example, if the temperature on the morning of Feb. 27 is 38 degrees, tickets for Snappers 0pening day will sell for $3.80 through the day of the game.
"As great as the weather has been this winter, this will be one day our staff and fans will be hoping for cold temperatures!" Snappers General Manager Seth Flolid was quoted as saying in a news release. "Our fans have a lot to look forward to this season with a few new promotional nights and some fan favorites returning. It all starts on Opening Night and we couldn't be more excited."
Three different bobbleheads featuring former Snappers players headline the giveaways this year. The first of those will be on Father's Day, June 18, in the form of 2013 catcher Bruce Maxwell.
Two other former players will be featured in the July 23 and Aug. 13 giveaways. Fans also will want to be first in line to for one of the eight firework shows coming to Pohlman Field this summer including the July 3rd Independence Day Celebration.
