Father, son die in early morning fire in Roscoe

ROSCOE -- A Roscoe father and son died early Friday after they were unable to escape their burning house.

Harlem-Roscoe firefighters were called  about 1 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2915 to a two-story home in the 8000 block of Elevator Road.

Alan Bekielewski and his 2-year-old son. Orin. died from injuries sustained in the fire. Alan's wife, Olivia, and their daughter, Octavia, were able to escape, according to a GoFundMe.org page set up for the family.

In the first three hours after the page was set up, more then $5,000 was donated toward the $10,000 goal.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
