STATELINE NEWS -- The Beloit City Council on Monday voted to revoke the alcohol license of Club Adiktion at 1310 Cranston Road.

The club was the scene of a shooting during the summer of 2015 that injured three.

The Alcohol Beverage License Control Committee voted Aug. 11 to recommend the license be revoked. Beloit Police Captain Dan Risse told WKOW-TV that the venue’s management refused to cooperate with investigators.

"During the week following, multiple attempts were made to contact representatives of Adiktion," Risse told the committee.

"Messages were left. When contact was finally established, they were at best able to provide either a first name, nickname and cellphone of people." The club officially will lost its liquor license Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015 at midnight, according to WKOW-TV.

Council members say the owners can’t apply for a new license for a year. Police say more an 30 shots were fired outside the club in the early morning hours of July 25.

James Ford, 27, was arrested two days later in connection with the shooting shortly after his photo was posted to the Beloit Police Department Facebook page.

Following the shooting, two people transported themselves to Rockford Memorial Hospital with injuries and one person was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville with injuries, police said.

A 26-year-old woman was shot in the left calf, a 24-year-old man was shot in the right arm and a 22-year-old man had a gunshot wound to the right side of his cheek.
