JANESVILLE — Winter weather might be hanging on, but spring elections are just around the corner.
On Tuesday, April 2, county voters will choose their representatives on municipal and school boards.
In addition, there are two races on the statewide ballot. Wisconsin voters will choose between incumbent Pat Roggensack and challenger Ed Fallone for Wisconsin Supreme Court justice.

In the race for state superintendent of schools, voters will choose between incumbent Tony Evers and state Rep. Don Pridemore of Hartford.


Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. April 2. For information about where to vote, call your town, village or city clerk, or go online to www.myvote.wi.gov.

JANESVILLE — Three incumbents and three newcomers are vying for three, three-year terms on the Janesville School Board this spring.

Incumbents Karl Dommershausen, Kristin Hesselbacher and Peter Severson are seeking re-election to the board, while Diane Eyers, Fredrick Jackson and Cathy Myers seek to join the board.

The election is April 2.

JANESVILLE — Six residents, including two incumbents, are vying for four seats on the Janesville City Council this spring.

Incumbents Sam Liebert and DuWayne Severson face a challenge from Julia Broda, Brian Fitzgerald, Doug Marklein and Jerry Smythe in the April 2 election.

Former council member Yuri Rashkin has announced he is running as a write-in candiate.

Election: Clinton voters to choose between two current board members April 2 PDF Print E-mail

CLINTON — Two current village board trustees will face each other April 2 for the open seat for village president.

Ron Schut and Connie Tracy each have served on the board for the past three years.

The winner will fill the seat left open by longtime Village President Mary Jensen, who decided to run for village trustee.

Four candidates, including Jensen, Victoria Baker, Ronald Torkilson and Dina Knibbs, are running to fill three trustee seats.

Schut, 66, a semi-retired carpenter and Clinton High School graduate, has served on the public safety and finance committees. He was a member of the planning commission for two years, as well as a member of the Clinton School Board for nine years. Schut also was the chairman of the negotiating committee for the police and public works department during the past two years.

Tracy, 52, is a certified chiropractic assistant and 1978 Clinton High School graduate. She has served as the chair for the park board and legislative review committees as well as serving on the planning commission.

Tracy served on the parks and tree board for eight years before being elected to the village board.

Tickets go on sale April 1, 2013

BELOIT — The Green Bay Packers annual Tailgate Tour will make a stop in Beloit this year, giving local fans a chance to meet and mingle with some of their favorite players as well as Packer legends.

The road show will be in Beloit from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the Eclipse Center. The Packers are expected to arrive about 6 p.m.
