LAKE GENEVA — Robert W. Keefe recently was installed as chairman of the board of the Wisconsin Realtors Association.
Keefe is president of Keefe and Associates, the parent company of Keefe Real Estate. He was sworn in by his father, Michael Keefe.
“Rob doesn’t let any grass grown under his feet,” Michael Keefe said about his son. “He will be good at being president because he will be good at getting things accomplished that are valuable and useful to the organization.”
According to a news release, Robert Keefe has three areas of focus as he begins his tenure as chairman: agent professionalism, fundraising and legislative review of laws that govern real estate in Wisconsin.
Keefe, a Lake Geneva native, graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and served nine years in the Navy. From 2001 to 2003, he managed Keefe’s mortgage operations.
In 2004, he was appointed president of Keefe and Associates. In this role, he oversees Keefe’s real estate brokerage, affiliate services and development activities.
The WRA is one of the largest trade associations in the state, representing more than 13,400 real estate brokers, salespeople and affiliates.
