ELKHORN -- A Walworth County Sheriff's deputy's weapon fired Monday evening at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center during an altercation with a prisoner, according to news reports.
The prisoner was a patient at the hospital.
The incident happened shortly before 7 p.m., according to scanner traffic.
Officials told WTMJ that it was an isolated incident and not an active shooter incident.
Adam Beeson with Aurora Healthcare told WISN TV that he could not release any information on the patient's condition due to privacy concerns.
No other patients were in danger during the incident, Beeson said.
The Waukesha County Sheriff's office is investigating because the incident involved a Walworth County deputy.
More information is expected to be released Tuesday.
